This was my accommodation while in the town of Pia. It was very comfortable and fairly new. It overlooked the Pia River which made for easy sleeping! And the evening view from the balcony was pretty good too!
The other pics are of the foot bridge that was required to get to the guesthouses. I actually helped for a couple of hours so we could get it done before dark. I cut bamboo into one metre lengths, so they could be split and used for the base to walk on. We got it done just in time, although handrail on one side only. They others finished it the next day and built a welcome sign for the Star Guesthouse! Add "bridge construction" to the resume!
Oh yeah, on another note...I was offer an electrician position (only for 6 weeks) at the http://www.elephantnaturefoundation.org/ It was tempting; but just wasn't going to work with the travel plans. I'm not sure where I'm off to next; but should be there by the end of this week!
